90 points - Robert Parker

In the glass this wine overflows with aromas of blackcurrant, blueberries and plums underlain by more subtle secondary aromas such as cigar box and mahogany. On the palate this wine starts off soft, with black fruits and violets building in intensity as the flavors evolve eventually ending in a crescendo of complex layers and flavors including blueberries, graphite, rich earth and spice. This wine will age beautifully over the next 10 to 15 years.
- Robin Akhurst, Winemaker

Wine Profile

Vineyard Notes
Alexis is made up of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Merlot from unique soils across the Napa Valley. Each of our farmers is detail focused to produce the best fruit possible. We are fortunate to include four different AVA’s within this vintage, Calistoga (Amoenus Vineyard), Rutherford (Dalla Gasperina Vineyard), Yountville (Sleeping Lady Vineyard) and Oakville (Swanson Estate Vineyard).

Vintage Notes
In the 2013 vintage, we experienced moderate temperatures and dry conditions in all our vineyard locations. All wines from the vintage, both red and white, benefited from a long, cool growing season, and this was especially true for Cabernet Sauvignon.
